DI Honors is an initiative of Design Inspire to encourage and put the spotlight on talented individuals across different Design domains. This initiative aims to celebrate, encourage and inspire Designers for their exceptional design works and/ or contribution to the field of Design.
In the introductory year of DI Honors, we are recognising and rewarding Design students who accommodate different design parameters contextually and efficiently through their projects. The winning projects from each category will be conferred with the title “Greatest Student Design Project 2022”.

The project provides an Impactful, rewarding and lasting user experience by offering interactive digital products, services, artifacts, or spaces that create an emotional connection with the users.
The project looks at the craft of enveloping the core information using static or dynamic visuals and developing a relationship with the user. The project should grab the viewer’s attention while delivering the message in a clear and captivating manner.
The project defines the detailed service and elaborates on the stages involved. It focuses on relevant experiences and strategies that make the product/ service a success and features sustainable solution.
The project identifies opportunities and provides outcomes using relevant technological intervention as per contextual stages. The use of technology can be current, conceptual, emerging, or speculative and be properly conceptualized, created, critiqued, and implemented.
The project outcome must have the attributes that keep the user actively engaged while also captivating them. The project outcomes can range from a physical to a digital product or service that creates a playful experience for the audience/users.

Q. I am an overseas student. Am I eligible for this program?
A. Yes, you are eligible. DI Honours is open to design students of all nationalities based anywhere in the world.
Q. I am from a non-design background but would like to participate, can I?
A. Unfortunately, you cannot. This program is open only for design students from recognised universities.
Q. I am from a non-design background but have done a graduation project related to UX and design domain. Am I eligible to participate?
A. No, you are not eligible. This program is open only for design students from recognised universities and considers their design projects only.
Q. I am a recent design graduate and currently I am working in design industry. Am I eligible to participate?
A. Yes, you are eligible if you have graduated on or after 1 Jan 2021.
Q. I am a first-year design student. I have done a 4-month long project, but it is not a graduation project. Am I eligible to participate?
A. Yes, you are eligible. Any design project done by a design student individually and spanning a duration of 3-6 months is eligible for submission to this program.

Q. Do I need to pay to participate?
A. No. Participation to the DI Honors is free.
Q. I submitted my application but forgot to add something to my project. Could I request to make a change?
A. We request you to take some time and then register for the DI Honors when your project is ready. We discourage making changes to your application post-registration. However, in case of unforeseen circumstances, you can email your requests to us at designinspire@valuelabs.com. The organizing team will consider the requests on case-to-case basis and make a decision that will be final. We do not guarantee whether the additional details will be added to your original application.
Q. When may I expect to hear the selection decision?

social media channels in Aug.

will receive an email about their selection and further details.
Q. I am a recent Design graduate. What should I do if I don’t have my college ID card as my student proof?
A. You can submit your degree certificate as proof or can ask your college for a Bonafide certificate.
Q. My project is not in English, can I still submit it?
A. Currently, we are accepting entries only in English. If your project is in any other language, you are required to translate it to English for our jury to evaluate it.
Q. My project is ongoing, and it will be completed by May 2022. Can I still participate?
A. We are only looking at the complete project. If you could finish your project before the submission deadline, you can participate.
Q. My project is not related to UX design. Can I participate?
A. We are looking for well researched design projects that can fall under the categories of communication, new media, service and strategy, and play Design projects.
Q. Can I submit my project for multiple categories?
A. Yes, you can apply for all relevant categories for a project. However, the jury will have the right to consider it for the most relevant categories and add or remove certain categories if necessary.
Q. Can I submit multiple project?
A. Yes, you can submit multiple projects if they meet
the requirements.
